Great Beginnings Midwifery Program is located at Del Norte Family Health Center in Yuba City and offers prenatal care for all women during pregnancy, including those who are on Medi-Cal.
•An initial physical examination, including laboratory tests.
•Ongoing prenatal care.
•Nutrition advice, child birth preparation, breast feeding information and personal health education.
•Delivery and hospitalization services.
•Care for mothers and babies in the hospital after delivery.

Women Infants and Children (WIC) Program
WIC serves to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, & children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care. Services are offered in Yuba and Colusa Counties.

Smiles Program
The Smiles Program is sponsored by California Children’s Dental Disease Prevention Program, it is a school-based preventive dental program that offers students with fluoride treatments, tooth brushing instructions, oral health screenings, dental sealants, and classroom oral health education.

Perinatal Care Program
The Perinatal Care Program is designed to provide comprehensive prenatal services, beginning with the pregnancy test and following through to educational assistance after the child is born. The program provides assistance with Medi-Cal, prenatal vitamins, medical services, educational assistance with childbirth, childcare, nutrition, breastfeeding and direct referrals to obstetricians are available when necessary.
Currently the program is offered at the Colusa Family Health Center and Orland Family Health Center, please contact health centers for patient information.

Comprehensive Primary Care for HIV/AIDS
The Comprehensive Primary Care program is designed to assist individuals diagnosed with HIV or AIDS. From HIV testing to adherence counseling this program offers patients HIV specialists, dental, and mental health services, nutritional and health education, compassionate nursing and referral services for prescription drug assistance, home health, transportation assistance, bio electrical impedance assessments and clinical trials.

Currently this program is offered at the Oroville Family Health Center and the Chico Family Health Center, please contact the health center for information.

Community Health Program
DNCI’s Community Health Program provides all DNCI communities with health care information, preventive education, and referrals to health and social service agencies. The program does so by coordinating DNCI’s community involvement in which medical and dental screenings are offered at community health fairs, events and local schools. Foremost, the program provides free application assistance for the Healthy Families Program, Medi-Cal, CMSP, Access for Infants and Mothers, and Presumptive Eligibility for pregnant women under the states Medi-Cal Program. To schedule an appointment for free application assistance contact your local DNCI health center and ask for the Community Health Worker. Si Habla Español.
